Meet Our Members

Our Members tell you a bit about themselves, Tetragon and Freemasonry.

When and where were you initiated?

I started the process of becoming a member in 2010 and was looking for a young, London-based Lodge to join. Tetragon was therefore a natural choice.

I was initiated into Tetragon Lodge in September 2015 at Freemason's Hall in Great Queen Street, London.

I was initiated Jan 2010 at Rochford Masonic Hall, in Eastwoodbury Lodge 7922 in the Province of Essex.

What do you like about Tetragon?

I love Tetragon because above all it is a friendly, fun and inclusive lodge.

I love Tetragon because whilst working very seriously we don’t take ourselves seriously. The quality of the ritual is superb and the camaraderie fabulous.

Tetragon is a great lodge to be a part of and really does live up to the tenets and promises of Freemasonry. The welcome that visitors and new initiates receive is outstanding, and the brethren are warm, friendly, fun-loving and revel in the social and charitable aspect of Freemasonry, particularly supporting local pubs and breweries!

What did Freemasonry bring you?

The practice of Freemasonry is very diverse and flexible. It can bring different things at different points in life, from a strong social and fraternal society to a place where one can learn. Members are free to do as little or as much of what they like.

A deeper interest in, and understanding of fraternalism and the spiritual aspects that can accompany it.

Freemasonry brought me new friends, challenges and questions. I am quite passionate about learning its history for instance. When I moved to the UK I found warmth and kindness from total strangers.

Freemasonry introduced me to a new group of friends from all walks of life that I would never have met otherwise, and the sense of belonging to an ancient, proud fraternity is something that fills me with pride.
